RE: The enrollment of Fortune Premy in the Fall joy and a significan disappointment
To: Stan Premy,
Cc: Eric Murdoch
Good Afternoon Stan,
In February, the University announced changes to our athletic programming, there was a press release and statement on the athletics website that spoke about these changes. Here is the link: (http://www.franklinpierce.edu/about/news/A_Look_Ahead_Raven_Athletics.htm) Here in admissions we reached out to prospective students that the swimming program identified for us as prospective swimming student athletes, and upon review, I see that Fortune was not on this list provided. In regards to the website, as you have noticed, does not indicate that the program no longer exists and this is due to the fact that we are still in the current academic year and the announcement is effective at the end of the school year which is May 31st.
We certainly understand the disappointment this news is for Fortune. The University is still and will always be committed to Fortune in providing for her the education that she desires, and as you have noted the Marlin Fitzwater Center for Communication can and will help to providing her that dream of becoming a television broadcaster.
Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I will see to it that we have your questions answered.
All the best,
Steve
