Family Loop on my Last Day
After visiting Aunt Rosine on Friday I was invited to park at Bud's and Diane's.
Bud's and Diane's
Robert and Deana came by and took me on a family tour that looped back after four stops.
Our first stop was at Dale's and Sherry's. Dale, Deana and Robert are in Sherry's kitchen. Sherry, the family's number One photographer, declined to be in a picture. The work that has been done on the house is extensive. We were told the work that remains to be done is extensive. As it stands it is a beautiful house on very beautiful property.
The house and land have a history worthy of a book, a book of many chapters, a history of many characters. It would reveal a history of Central Ohio. It would reveal a history of Families.
This historic structure reminded me of my days in the Peace Corps. I could not resist making an appearance in a picture. (It is not installed for use)
Tim and Cindy took the wall out opening an attractive living space. This counter and appliance is were the wall previously stood.
Whereever I went I found more grandparents than my long ago visit. Of course, the focus has become the grandchilldren who are the substantiation.
Sarah, the nurse.
Deana and Sarah.
Sarah and the cat whose name I do not know.
Greg took the picture of Deana, Robert, Jamie, and me.
In the winter Robert and Deana can see Jamie's house through the trees from their new house.
The lower floor of Robert's new house.
I was very fortunate to have many conversations during my two days with Ohio relatives. Every single conversation was too short. I wanted more. More of the news. More of the stories. More of the thoughts and feelings. No visit was long enough.
It became time to complete the excursion. I was on the road for the end.
