One Decission Remained
There were several tenants applied throughout the excursion. Visiting important friends and family. Spending the time in each place with those residing there. Adjusting the time at any place as the visits unfolded.
When AAA developd a trip-tic I asked them to point out national parks along the itinerary chosen. I was not seeking tourism. If there were things of interest along the route they might be considered. The visit was to be with people doing what they normally do. The focus of the visit was the important people.
Whereever I went the people were a delight.
The winter weather would govern both timing and destinations. The stategy was to get South fast so that The RV water system would not be in jeopardy of freezing. Totally left open was when I would head back from Arizona and what route would be chosen.
I was traveling north while going east. Once I left Dallas would I turn north to Ohio or continue on a more southern route. The weather was the primary factor.
After leaving Caddo Mills Dallas NE Campground it was time to decide if I would make a visit to Mansfield or a more direct route to Warwick.
Even more important than the weather would be to arrange visits with Aunt Rosine and Aunt Louise. At this point I had received no response to e-mails to any Ohio relative and no answer to three different phone numbers for Aunt Rosine.
I came off the correct exit north of Little Rock. Siri on behalf of Google maps redirected me on a circuitous route through downtown Little Rock. An hour later I arrived at KOA Little Rock. I had been less than two miles away on the initial exit.
Aunt Louise answered her phone on the first ring. It was in the 40s in Mansfield. She would be there until next Monday. She gave me new numbers for Aunt Rosine and Kim. Kim was key. She could help arrange visits.
In the morning at this KOA site the last disaster happened. I wanted to top up the fresh water tank. I had used the campsite water all night. I shut it off switched to "fill" and a few minutes later my fresh water tank was drained onto the ground. Excessive water force must have broken pipes in two places.
After seriously considering heading straight for Rhode Iland, I resolved to fill multiple gallons of water and pass through Mansfield any way.
On the right is the venue for Dad's Bluegrass Campground in Franklin, TN. It looked like a fun place to visit in warm months. I washed my dishes in the laundry room.
